a Youth Development Program for canadians
Our cadets and juniors are having fun, sharing knowledge, building a supportive community, winning races and representing canada abroad.
Who wants to start building for 2026?

From Cadet to Elite: Canada's Premier Youth Development Program
-
DRAWING riders FROM ACROSS CANADA.
We have coached riders from Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and BC
-
coaching that creates Leaders.
Coaches consciously help riders identify and value different kinds of leadership in themselves and in others.
-
A pipeline of talent FLOWING WITH confidence.
Cadet → Junior → U23 → Elite
In the last 2 years, our riders have won 11 medals at the National Championships, including 4 titles.
-
A SUPPORTIVE, FUN COMMUNITY.
We welcome riders coached by others to our group training sessions and events. We also provide professional support, helping riders get places on teams, working with federations to access nutritionists, physiotherapists, etc.
-
tapping into POTENTIAL.
We want riders to tap into their own potential; but we also want our program to do the same. We are constantly looking for ways to enhance each rider’s training environment as they progress from cadets to potentially Elite racers living in Europe.
-
BUILDING STRENGTH and focus.
We provide integrated strength training with our programs but we also want to encourage both mental health and competitive toughness in ways that work for each rider.
-
MEETINGS that BUILD KNOWLEDGE NETWORKS.
We have had meetings about nutrition, race tactics, apps that pros use to prepare for races, physiology, training terms like “fatigue resistance / durability” etc. We will expand and better structure this part of our program in 2026.
-
Mentorship at every turn.
We believe riders learn from each other —often more than from coaches (!). We have had Elite riders speak with the group, and individual riders have helped younger ones, and now we have the numbers to structure our mentoring in 2026.
-
Learning how to win.
Learning how to win is a complex and multifaceted aspect of sports. We want our riders to strive to succeed, but also not be afraid of winning as they progress in their development. And we ourselves want to create a winning culture. So far, so good.
-
Talent identification.
Our experience managing some of the best teams in Canadian history has taught us something about the talent required to succeed. We have argued for years that Canada needs a distinct devo program. We finally got off the pot and started one ourselves.
